Monozygotic (for Max on her birthday)

Depth of mind, a hand’s finesse,

the soft caress of a smile so blessed

and often bared by a firework flared

from the atoms of a zygote at one time shared.

No yin nor yang, the ideas that ran

from ideology, mythology of ancient Japan

could ever explain the sweet refrain,

solidified ties ever to remain.

Deserving of my best, no more, no less,

no trickery or test but a thing inspired,

now hard-wired and ultimately,

I guess, a soul desired
