Category Archives: Poetry as a flag

Signalling slowly, cigarette in his lip
Silent – his songs sent down with his ship
Siren serenely sucks souls t’wards shore
Sanitised senses see him sailing no more

Windswept and wet, he awakes on the sand
Weathered by wishes he cannot understand
Watchful of ways that were wanton and cursed
Wander alone, wild heir of this Earth

Turning, tossing, torn from her sleep
Tearing at truths brought up from the deep
Tumbling tear traces true to the mud
Troubadour travels ever on in the flood
