Perching on a knee
Soft skin kissed in duty
Kettle whistles and off she goes
Wind blows quietly
Curtain closed
that light cannot be shown
Shards cannot remain

Only comfort is the one that kills

Flanked by empty chairs
Passing bodies whisper
Hanging tear looks for reasons not to fall
Anchor hits a wall
Birds fly silent
too busy for to call
Shards should not remain

Creeping comfort tries to fill a hole

Hunched shoulders where no hand can land
Fear, misunderstanding
Light of cries down landing flows
Nightmare shadows are not my own
Perching on a knee

How you’ve grown
